Terms of service

Last updated October 3, 2026

These terms are the agreement between Run My Lot (“we”) and the dealership that uses it (“you”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you accept on behalf of a dealership, you confirm that you are allowed to.

The service

Run My Lot is software for used-car dealerships: an admin for inventory, leads, financing applications, appointments and staff, and, if you ask for one, a public website for your dealership. A website is scoped and quoted as its own piece of work.

We improve the service over time, which means features are added and sometimes changed or removed.

Accounts

  • The owner’s login is created by invitation. The owner can invite staff.
  • Each person signs in with their own login. Do not share one.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what is done under your logins.
  • Give us accurate details about your dealership and keep them up to date.

Trial and subscription

  • The 14-day trial starts when the owner chooses monthly or yearly billing and adds a card in the admin.
  • When the trial ends, the subscription begins and the card is charged the price shown in the admin when you subscribed, in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes.
  • The subscription renews each month or each year until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in the admin.
  • Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • If a payment fails, the admin locks until the card is updated. Nothing is deleted while it is locked.
  • If we change the price, we email the account owner before the change takes effect.

Your content

Everything you put into the service stays yours: vehicles, photos, prices, your legal pages, and the messages, applications and bookings your customers send you. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it on your website so that the service can work.

You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of your listings, prices and disclosures
  • following the laws that apply to you as a dealer, including advertising, consumer protection, privacy and anti-spam rules
  • your customers’ personal information. You decide what you collect and why, and your website needs its own privacy policy. We store and deliver that information on your behalf, as described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • post anything unlawful, misleading or that you have no right to use
  • try to reach another dealership’s data or get around the service’s security
  • upload malicious code, or overload or scrape the service
  • resell the service or use it to build a competing product

Services from other companies

Some features rely on other companies, such as Stripe for payments and Google for maps and for the calendar you can choose to connect. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and a problem on their side can affect the feature that depends on them.

Availability

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted. We may take it offline briefly for maintenance.

Ending the agreement

  • You can close your account from the admin at any time.
  • A closed account can be reopened for 30 days. After that the dealership and its data are deleted.
  • We may suspend or close an account that is not paid for or that breaks these terms. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises about it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits a right the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
